This Easter, mark your calendars for the arts in La Bisbal d'Empordà!
On March 30th and 31st, the Brava! creation factory in la Bisbal d'Empordà presents a new cultural event format. It will be the first edition of the Brava Arts Weekend (BAW!), coinciding with Easter.
The BAW! will bring together over twenty artists and creators from diverse disciplines with a common passion for exploring new artistic formats. Broadly speaking, everything programmed will be a premiere, a new format, or part of a creative process. Nacha Delpiano, artistic director of Brava!, emphasized that BAW! blends "the essence of a festival, the spontaneity of a happening, the joy of a party, and the diversity of an art market." "The goal of the cultural event is to showcase the artistic creations simmering in the Costa Brava creation factory: from emerging talents to well-established artists," explained Delpiano. All this, "de-seasonalizing the cultural programming focused on summer festivals," she added.
The BAW! lineup includes MUTEK Barcelona festival's first participation on the Costa Brava, featuring the presentation of Linalab (CO/ES) & Turbulente (MX/ES), two artists actively involved in the live coding community of Toplap Barcelona. Don't miss their performance on Saturday, March 30 at 10pm.
Other musical performances include B1n0 along with Voctro Labs, a concert by Lecocq, the new indie project by Enric Mont, and multidisciplinary artist and composer Xavi Lloses, who always focuses his work on experimental music and sound installations, presenting 'Ultraplanetari' with the creative Àlex Pallí. Film director Jo Sol will present a concert with ultrasound that challenges our perception capacity.
From 7pm on Saturday, March 30, until 7pm on Sunday, April 31.
