Opening Concert

The opening concert of MUTEK Barcelona 2024 will take place on Tuesday April 9 at the Sala Apolo presenting the exclusive concert by UK electronic duo, Autechre and Belgian musician Roméo Poirier, presenting his new Live AV collaboration with Brussels based creative studio, Ohme. An event co-organized by Primavera Sound, MUTEK ES and Caprichos de Apolo.

Autechre (UK)

The UK electronic duo group formed by Rob Brown and Sean Booth, is one of the most prominent members of Warp Records whose music has undergone a gradual aesthetic change throughout their career, from their early works, with clear roots in techno, electro and hip hop, to their latest albums, with a more experimental approach, with complex rhythmic patterns and subdued melodies. Autechre's live experience is an immersive, dark and mind-blowing sound experience.

Roméo Poirier & Ohme (BE)

Belgian musician Roméo Poirier is set to arrive in Barcelona to present his Live AV performance titled Tales of Entropy in collaboration with the Belgian creative studio Ohme. This audiovisual show is based on generative music production, polarised light microscopy, and computer vision. By merging analogue and digital creative tools, it offers a sensitive exploration of organic matter's structures through the prism of daring musical expressionism.
