California-born and Montréal-based, Alex Tibbitts is The Bionic Harpist—a visionary electroacoustic artist redefining the harp through real-time sound processing and immersive storytelling. Since launching her solo project in 2020, she’s performed at MUTEK Montréal and Mexico, the National Arts Centre of Canada, and more. A CIRMMT member and frequent collaborator with researcher John Sullivan, PhD, Tibbitts also lectures at institutions like Harvard and McGill. As a founding member of Ensemble ILÉA and active force in Montréal’s music community, she continues to expand the sonic potential of her instrument. Her debut album, IMPRESSIONS, arrives Fall 2025.
Techno Para Dos is the experimental electronic project of Mexican artist Raúl Villamil. Fusing sound design, performance, and multidisciplinary collaboration, he has appeared at festivals such as MUTEK Mexico, Day Zero, Off Sonar Mexico, Festival Ceremonia, and international venues in Paris, Berlin, Stockholm, and Barcelona. His practice extends to theatre and dance, composing for projects like Dorje (Nohbords) and Paisajes II (Diego Vega, Ana Segovia). He co-creates fran·gere with The Bionic Harpist and curates Pulso, a radio program on Athens-based Fade Radio. Villamil’s work merges sonic experimentation with movement, architecture, and the poetic dimensions of electronic music.
