Alberto Nerone (aka Nerone) is the general & artistic director of MUTEK in Spain. He´s been active in the music industry as a DJ and events organizer for over 25 years. In 2003 he moved to Barcelona and started promoting events at the main clubs and venues in the city, generated collaborations with European and International organisations and started running international bookings for Grupo MasiMas in 2009.

In 2009 Nerone started working with the MUTEK network and launched the first soirée MUTEK events in Spain, which would rapidly lead to developing 15 full scale editions of the festival by 2024. The MUTEK ES platform, dedicated to promote local artists and disruptive creative scenes, has become a recognized event for industry professionals and audiences from all over the world.

From 2012 - 2019 Nerone was the artistic director of Indigo Raw Events & Media, presenting 5 editions of the IR festival, which hosted over 250 artists and more than 15000 people per edition.

Since 2021, Nerone is operating as project manager for Primavera Sound's international endevours with a focus in the LATAM festivals and events in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay and Colombia.

As a DJ, Nerone's fluid style, which is praised for his ability to evolve rather than follow the latest music fads, flirts with genres as varied as breaks, house, techno and even a certain experimentation, which may border on psychedelic.
