Mick Wilson is a writer, music producer, DJ, and electronic music commentator based in Ibiza. With a deep passion for electronic music, he has been involved in the dance music scene for over 30 years and was part of the original dance music movement as a DJ/producer that swept through the UK and globally during the late ‘80s.
He still enjoys a very active involvement within the scene as DJ Mag Tech Editor and Editor of DJ Mag Ibiza. His work also encompasses varying prestigious industry related projects based around electronic music culture working with ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) AVA Festival London and Non Profit organisation MUSIC FOR THE SEA (Ibiza)
On a creative front he is producing and releasing music on a number of respected labels – previous releases on RAWAX and Ralph Lawson’s 20/20 Vision - and hosts a monthly radio show with close friend and production partner August Artier on OpenLab Radio. To play music will always “be a calling” and he can still be found behind the booth exploring a sound that takes in underground electronic music across its range of genres.
In addition to this he is also one of the partners of T.H.I.S (The Hub Ibiza Studios). A creative space based in Ibiza fostering and holding secure some of the island's greatest talents but also aiming to inspire, educate and nurture the next generation of musical innovators and creators.
His continuing involvement in the world of electronic music is testament to a life and career deeply rooted within the scene.
