The auditorium of the Institut Français hosts the X/Visions program, which in this edition presents three electroacoustic shows that explore the sculptural capacities of sound. The program is also an example of the festival's institutional cooperation. The Portuguese Clothilde presents a concert of ambient music created with modular synthesizers. T. Gowdy, a MUTEK regular, returns to Barcelona two years later to offer a new live performance with melodic structures of rhythms and dynamic timbres. And finally, Italian musician and sound designer Marta De Pascalis uses analog synthesis and a tape loop system to create a sense of dense, dynamic and cathartic distance.
