Thais Ruizes
Thais studied Law Degree at Barcelona University, postgraduated in Social and Political Theory, and Cultural Public Policies, and studied a PHD in Political Theory and Public Policies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
Thais founded and currently is Executive Director at DigitalFems, a non profit social entity that provides services related to diversity and gender policies to technological companies, public administrations and entities such as Valle de Hebron, Barcelona's City Council, Metropolis, or CatSalut among others. She has developed all her career in digital and tech scope since 1999.
Thais was Managing Director at Thoughtworks, where besides starting up the company’s operations, she also founded LaT, a technopolitical citizen lab focused on tech sovereignty and social digital innovation. Before that she led the Digital Strategy at Barcelona’s city hall.
Thais is a speaker, and has given talks at Digital Future Society, SharingCities, Institut Català de la Dona, FAD, DecidimFest, Jornadas Derecho Digitales, CCCB,. Thais has been mentioned by different media and books.
