Mimi AllardCA/QC
A sound artist at heart, Montreal-based Mimi Allard (she/her) has been composing and showcasing her sound design talents through artistic installations and movie soundtracks. Allard’s academic training started with intermedia studies at Concordia University, before opting to further her knowledge on audio synthesis and programming. Using modular synthesis, programming languages, and developing experimental instruments, Allard searches to innovate and explore the physics and mathematics behind sound synthesis.
Appears as part of AMPLIFY D.A.I, an initiative of the British Council in partnership with MUTEK Montréal, MUTEK Buenos Aires and Somerset House Studios in the UK. The programme is supported by Canada Council for the Arts.
