I have been studying, composing, and performing in Ottawa and Montreal for the past three years. I completed an undergraduate honors degree in music at Carleton University in Ottawa in 2001 and now live in Montreal. I am planning to do my Master's in composition at York University in Toronto in September. I compose mostly electronic and prepared-guitar pieces exploring drones, microtonality, and texture, influenced by New York minimalists and post-minimalists as well as Penderecki / Ligeti textural composition, minimal IDM, classic modernism, weird rock music, and whatever else I hear. I have recently been expanding my repertoire by composing atonal pieces for cello and flute. I played as part of Glenn Branca's 13th symphony at the World Trade Center last summer.
