Mana & Nicole Neidert — Mania
Mana is Daniele Mana's latest project which recently found its home in the legendary London based Hyperdub. His works are featured by unpredictable evolutions and a unique taste for melodies. He writes and produces for theatre, film and advertising alongside his artistic projects as Vaghe Stelle, One Circle, an ensemble formed by Mana, Lorenzo Senni and Francesco Fantini, and his latest project Mana who recently debuted with an album on the iconic Hyperdub.
‘’Mania’’ is an abstract meditation on the relation between body and imagination, music and sculpture, a lysergic approach to a lifelong flashback into the projection of a futuristic subconscious. Nicole Neidert explores the sculptural body by communicating with Linnea Bågander’s architectural costumes, re-imagining the human bodies as creatures made of choreography and material. The collaboration between the electronic musician Mana and the choreographer Neidert extended the concept and idea of pure self-transcending human body and autobiography, a fragmented chimera that sounds like a palatial hyaline architecture.
— ‘’If subconscious would come alive it wouldn’t be human shaped. It would be an amorphous being made of messages from remote memories of a past that haven't happened yet. A fractal light beam with a warm soul in its softest core’’
— ‘’I use artificial expressions to expose different aspects of humanity”
