XVisions

The Institut Français auditorium will once again host the X/Visions programme, which this year presents three electro-acoustic shows exploring the sculptural capacities of sound. The programme is also an example of the festival's institutional cooperation.Portuguese Clothilde will present a concert of ambient music created with modular synthesizers. T. Gowdy, a MUTEK regular, returns to Barcelona two years later to offer a new live performance with melodic structures of rhythms and dynamic timbres. And finally, Italian musician and sound designer Marta De Pascalis will use analogue synthesis and a tape loop system to create a dense, dynamic and cathartic sense of distance./ These three shows are presented with the support of the Instituto Camões de Portugal in Barcelona, the Bureau du Québec, the collaboration of MUTEK ES with the project 'MUSE, A New Wave in the Mediterranean' from the ITmakES programme, launched by the Italian Embassy in Madrid and the Consulate General of Italy in Barcelona /.
