Tarta RelenaES/CAT

Thunderous and progressive Gregorian folk performed by Marta Torrella and Helena Ros. Tarta Relena was born in 2016 as a project of two singers to explore the sounds of different styles of vocal music in the chapel. Far from wanting to create a stamp of the traditional and to define the Mediterranean, Tarta Relena wants to own a repertoire that goes from music of oral tradition to songs of author that in one way or another are related to the 'geographical area of the Mediterranean. In the arrangements of Tarta Relena, the different timbres from their two voices are linked or knotted, flowing like water, or scratching like steppe; they move away in sharp dissonances and later reunite. Always looking for complexity within simplicity and maximum expression with the minimum of elements.
